The table below includes the programmes of study offered via the Franchise Method by local institutions of higher education. The institutions have submitted tο the Agency all the necessary documentation which is provided by the relevant legislation “Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education and the Establishment and Operation of an Agency on Related Matters Laws” of 2015 to 2021[L. 136 (Ι)/2015 - L. 132(Ι)/2021]. The Agency has assessed the documentation and has concluded that all conditions for the provision of cross-border education are fulfilled.

3. Franchised Programmes examined by the Department of Higher and Tertiary Education of the MOEC
The table below includes the programmes which have been examined by the Department of Higher and Tertiary Education of the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports (MOEC) on the basis of the previous legislative framework. All programmes submitted to the Agency for review within 2020 have been re-evaluated and are presented in Table 2. The rest have an expiry date of recognition in July 2020.1. External Evaluation of Institutions in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)
As a registered body in the European Quality Assurance and Accreditation Register for Higher Education (EQAR) https://www.eqar.eu/register/agencies/agency/?id=60, CYQAA conducts external evaluations of institutions in the European Higher Education Area.
CYQAA fully implements the European Standards and Guidelines in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) which provide the framework for all Quality Assurance activities and can be applied in different ways in different contexts. For this reason, specific adaptations may be required with regard to cross-border Quality Assurance. Any changes to CYQAA’s procedures remain in accordance with the ESG and are disclosed.
1. Departments of Higher Education Institutions evaluated/accredited by the Agency
According to the «Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education and the Establishment and Operation of an Agency on Related Matters Laws, 2015 to 2021» (Article 4(c)) the [...] Accreditation shall be applied to the period provided for by the provisions of this Law and shall be repeated every five (5) years and that the procedure shall begin following the submission of an application by the 13 3(a) of 47(I)/2016. 3(b) of 47(I)/2016. 3(c) of 47(I)/2016. institution at least sixteen (16) months prior to the expiry of the validity of the previous accreditation: Provided further that, in case where the institution fails to submit the application within the time-limit of sixteen (16) months, the Agency may provide an additional time-limit of three (3) months for its submission and in case of non-submission of the application within the above time-limit, the Agency, upon a relevant decision thereof, shall apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 5, for the smooth transition from the status of a recognized institution, department or study programme of higher education, as the case may be, to the status of non-recognition: Provided still further that, if for any reason and due to a fault of the Agency it becomes impossible to complete the Evaluation and Accreditation within the above period, then the previous Evaluation and Accreditation shall continue to be in force until completion of the relevant procedure:»
